I post these pictures because I found them while looking for photos to share with my high school friends when I meet them at the 50th reunion in October. And because for some blessed reason the internet is working! Wow! They belong to a different period, of course, but I am always surprised if not awed by co-incidences. Just winding up a book I have been working on for forty years . . . yes, forty years! A life time! And the central motif in it is a snake.
Coincidences awe us because they are signs and reminders that the universe's ways are far more mysterious than we can imagine; that there is a pattern here that transcends reason.
