Over and over in our relationship my mother's behavior /words could have alienated me. But I choose not be alienated. The consequence, we are closer than ever, and her heart has opened to me in love.
I have watched for six years now, since Daddyji's passing, the shift in your whole family dynamic. Harditji was a great oak in the forest and his coming down left large spaces for new light to come in. You, above all in your clan, took this as an opportunity to open up to the Light and your mother in ways that can only be described as wondrous and remarkable.
General Laj (your mother) has been a force of Nature as long as I've know her. A difficult, powerful, self-centered individual who has only wanted life on her terms. And in her own way very admirable, esp. as she is almost 92 and still very much in the world and maintains herself with a strong will to be in life as fully as she can.
You have been an incredible daughter, expressing constant love, concern, and taking on your "duty" to ensure her care and well-beiing, even from 10,000 miles away when we're in Del Mar. Your daily calls and unconditional love, even when she can be very trying, have opened up her heart to love in ways she probably never has experienced. Mummyji's wounds defended her well with strong armor....but you have found an opening to touch her heart....and your own too. This is as good as any of us can do during our journey this life.
