How Submission May Change Your Life

This is a beautiful quote I found in my Notes about Submission

“A human being has no other possibility. He may think he can be free, but he is either obedient and submitting to this higher power, or a slave. But when he submits willingly, he may receive something of such a high quality that he will no longer be attracted to what enslaves him: an awareness of the formlessness of the energy that comprises all we know of life.”

Apologies for not knowing the author.

How to tune in to the Supreme Will?

"Not the destruction but the attuning of our tiny will to the supreme will is the only remedy. To be done by constant praise, balanced desires and active service."

A Beautiful Story about Guru Gobind Singh, Demonstrating Detachment

Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth guru of the Sikhs, was sitting by a river when a devotee came to him with a gift of two heavy gold kadaas, or bangles. Guru Gobind Singh held one of them and admired its workmanship and beauty. The devotee thought, ‘He is no guru. He loves material things.’ Guru Gobind Singh tossed one of the kadaas in the air, playfully, and caught it again. But the next time he did not catch it and let it fall into the river. The devotee was distraught and jumped into the water to retrieve it but was unsuccessful. He surfaced and said in a panic,
“Show me the exact place you threw it so I can dive down and find it.”
Guru Gobind Singh took the other kadaa and threw it into the river.
“Right there,” he said.
